The Run Leicester Festival is the perfect opportunity to discover our dynamic city like never before. Home to an incredible running community, Run Leicester sees thousands of participants take to the streets in a celebration of the sport, the people and the wonderful sights. Not only that, expect an electrifying atmosphere on the day! Cheers, chants and celebration will get you through the 13 miles. Spectators are encouraged to join the fun in both our runner’s village and along the route.

RUN LEICESTER FESTIVAL – START ZONES!

A reminder that we’re introducing coloured start zones for this year’s Run Leicester Festival! Your race number will show one of five coloured zones, based on the estimated finish time you gave us when you registered.

START ZONES AND ESTIMATED FINISH TIMES ⏱️

🟢 GREEN ZONE 1

Half Marathon: Under 1hr 30mins

10K: Under 45mins

🔵 BLUE ZONE 2

Half Marathon: 1hr 30mins – 1hr 45mins

10K: 45–50mins

🔴 RED ZONE 3

Half Marathon: 1hr 45mins – 2hrs

10K: 50–60mins

🟡 YELLOW ZONE 4

Half Marathon: 2hrs – 2hrs 30mins

10K: 60mins – 1hr 10mins

🟣 PURPLE ZONE 5

Half Marathon: Over 2hrs 30mins

10K: Over 1hr 10mins

📍 ON RACE MORNING

🚩 Look for the start zone entrance with flags matching the colour on your race number.

🙌 Our volunteers will check race numbers as you enter, so please make sure you head to your allocated zone.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: You must start from the zone shown on your race number. You won't be able to start from a different zone.

These zones will help everyone enjoy a smoother, safer start and get into their running rhythm alongside others of a similar pace! 💪

Saturday 10th October: 11am–3pm
Sunday 11th October: 7:30am–8:45am

With only three days to go, have you planned your journey to Victoria Park on Sunday?🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

🚗 Driving? Parking around the event is limited, so please car share wherever possible. Event parking is available at selected car parks including Freeman's Common Multi Storey car park being our largest car park option. There will also be a FREE park and ride from King Power Stadium.

🚲 Cycling? Ride Leicester will be operating a secure bike park at the top of Peace Walk right next to the race arena for those travelling to the event by bike.

⚠️ Remember, there will be road closures around the route, so please allow plenty of extra time for your journey and check your digital race pack before setting off. For any route queries please visit runleicester.co.uk/route

As we approach race day we want to give some big love to the people who help make Run Leicester happen… our incredible volunteers! 👏

From welcoming runners with a smile and keeping everyone on track, to handing out water and cheering and celebrating every finisher who crosses the line – our volunteers bring energy and encouragement to race day.

RUN LEICESTER 2026 IS OFFICIALLY SOLD OUT! 📣

We’re delighted to announce that the 2026 Run Leicester Half Marathon and 10K has officially sold out, making this our biggest event yet. 👏

On Sunday over 5,000 runners will take to the streets of Leicester for what promises to be an unforgettable day of running and community spirit.

Reaching a sell out for the second year running is an incredible milestone for Run Leicester, but it means even more because of what the event represents. Run Leicester is a 100% not for profit event, with proceeds supporting LOROS Hospice and helping make a difference to people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Now, all that’s left is to get ready for race day. Leicester, we’ll see you on the start line on Sunday!
