Another fantastic community clean-up completed today, this time in Acocks Green. A huge thank you to every volunteer, adult and child, who came out and gave their time. đź’š
What stood out today wasn't simply the litter we collected, but the incredible engagement we had with the local community.
Throughout the litter pick, members of the public stopped to speak to us, thank us and tell us how much they appreciated what we were doing. Some brought drinks out for the children, and one gentleman even gave some money to the children as a way of showing his appreciation and encouraging them to keep up the great work. The children should be incredibly proud of themselves.
We had numerous non-Muslim members of the community approach us simply to say thank you and tell us what a fantastic job we were doing.
This is exactly why this initiative matters.
We aren't just cleaning streets. We're building communities, breaking down barriers and creating genuine human connections.
There are few more powerful forms of dawah than being out on the streets, serving our neighbours and allowing people to see service and kindness through our actions. No arguments, no debates — just people contributing to the places we call home and doing something that benefits everyone.
Every conversation, every smile and every person who stops to thank us helps challenge misconceptions and build bridges between communities.
May God accept everyone's efforts and allow this initiative to continue growing and benefiting our communities.
