IFABS-International Finance and Banking Society

The foundations of International Finance and Banking Society (IFABS) were laid in 2018 by 3 scholars. To launch the foundation of the society, in 2019 University of Leicester School of Management hosted a very timely and relevant international conference in Leicester, United Kingdom on “Global trends in the Efficiency and Risk Management of Financial Services and the Financial Crisis”. onference followed in Crete in collaboration with Technical University of Crete in 2010; the third conference in collaboration with the University of Rome III in Rome and the last one was held in June, 2012 in collaboration with the University of Valencia and University of Jaume I in Valencia. And a series of conferences in collaboration with prominent institutions and central banks continued each year. IFABS Annual conference is a major event in which the worlds of academia and practice unite to discuss issues of high significance and impact. It is a prestigious and extremely successful forum for academic researchers and policy makers that everyone looks forward to participating in. IFABS each year attracted increasing number of submissions from academia, policy-makers and the financial industry. From the inception in 2008, the Society has been active in increasing the visibility in an international context by attracting more than 7500 members which include researchers from academia, policy-makers and the financial industry in 69 countries.
