Leicester Animal Aid Founded in 1956, we are a rehoming centre based in Huncote. Loving cats and dogs today for those who will love them tomorrow. 🐾
(267)

Every year, we care for around 300 cats and dogs who are lost, abandoned, neglected, unwanted or given up because their owners can no longer care for them. If you would like to adopt a cat or dog, our current animals for adoption, and more information on the process, is available on our website. If you need to rehome your cat or dog please call the Centre. We rely on the generosity of our supporters and local community to keep our doors open to the hundreds of animals who need our help. You can find out about the different ways to support us in the 'Get Involved' section on our website. You can also donate directly to L.A.A. through this page, just click on the Donate button. Thank you for your support, for liking, sharing and commenting on our posts and helping to get our work out there.

We're delighted to announce that we are one of just 5 finalists in the category of UK Shelter of the Year in Only Rescues UK Rescue Pet Awards, huzzah! We'd like to thank the kind folks at Only Rescues UK, especially Tara, for putting us forward. We'd also like to thank Simply Jaspers for sponsoring the category. No wonder lovely Jetts the Greyhound is smiling!

Living his best life! 🥰🐶

This super-cute six-year-old Frenchie came to us in August looking for a loving home. We're so happy to say that Freddy (was Todd at L.A.A.) has now been with his new family for a week and as you can see, he's settled in so well.

Wishing you lots of adventures and snuggles Freddy! 🥰🐾

We love getting pupdates and we know you love them too 🥰

Golden oldie, Bentley, a Boxer cross, went home in September and he's loving life! He's very spoilt, and so he should be! He enjoys his walks especially when it involves a stop off at a cafe for a puppuccino! His new family say he's such a happy boy and that he really is an angel - we couldn't agree more! 🐕

Little Dahlia, a Patterdale Terrier, was adopted in June and we hear she's been on some adventures since she left us. She loves her cuddles, walks and had an amazing time on her trip to the seaside. We're so happy that your confidence has grown Dahlia and you're living the life you deserve. 🐕

Can you help to keep our Rose garden looking blooming lovely?🌹🏵

f you love being outdoors and want a more flexible approach to volunteering, rather than having to commit to set days and times then this volunteer role could be for you.

Our Rose garden is a peaceful oasis of calm and is full of established plants including, of course, Roses! The role would involve weeding and tidying up the plants and generally keeping the established garden maintained and looking blooming lovely! 🌹

You can volunteer on the days that suit you best and anytime between 10am and 2pm. The hours are flexible and would depend on the season. In the summer it may be two to three hours twice a week and in the winter an hour a week.
