Leicestershire LGBTQ Centre We are voluntary organisation championing the rights and supporting the wellbeing of the LGBTQ+ community in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland.

We provide information in a range of formats on a wide range of subjects that affect LGBT people's lives including signposting and referrals to other agencies. We aim to provide safe, accessible and appropriate services, venue and support to combat social isolation, exclusion and discrimination that LGBT people face. We also aim to promote a positive environment that empowers those who are le***an, gay, bisexual or transgender and educate those who are not.

We are delighted to share details of our first event celebrating 50 years of Leicestershire LGBTQ+ Centre (more to follow 👀)!

Explore our brand new exhibition, Powered by Community, on the Mezzanine at the Curve Theatre between 1-18 September (during The Curve's opening times). 📸

The exhibition will conclude with an unmissable celebration event on the closing night (18 September, 6-8 PM), with the opportunity to enjoy the exhibition alongside live performances and refreshments, and celebrate 50 years of community activism. 🎉

🎉 OUR 50TH ANNIVERSARY IS NEARLY HERE! 🌈

We’re officially counting down to a very special milestone… 50 years of Leicestershire LGBTQ+ Centre! 🥳

On 26 September 2026, we’ll be celebrating five decades of community, connection, support, campaigning and LGBTQ+ life across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. 💜

And this is just the beginning… 👀

Over the next few days, we’ll be unveiling our programme of 50th anniversary events and celebrations in September — so make sure you’re following us and keep your eyes peeled for some very exciting announcements! 🎊

Thank you to everyone who came and said hello to us and to the brilliant organisers at both events! And a massive thank you to our staff and volunteers for all your hard work and dedication!
