We really enjoyed attending the Riverside Festival this weekend! ๐Ÿ’™

A big thank you to Adult Social Care at Leicester City Council for inviting us to the annual Information and Advice Festival for the second time. It's always eye-opening to be able to talk to local residents in Leicester and raise awareness about our services.

Thank you to our staff and volunteers who turned up despite the rain ๐Ÿคฃ

We were overjoyed to learn that Chimdinma Nwaigwe, a former volunteer of ours, has become President of Leicestershire Law Society. Itโ€™s a remarkable milestone, as she is the youngest person ever to hold the position in the society's 166-year history and the first Nigerian in the role.

When Chimdinma first moved to the UK, her overseas qualifications weren't fully recognised, so she retook them while volunteering with us. Weโ€™re so proud to see how far she's come and to be a part of her journey.

Chimdi is still talked about with great affection by colleagues across our city office and wider teams. Whilst they are proud of her many achievements, no one was surprised to learn how far she has gone since leaving us as a volunteer!

"I look back on my time volunteering with Citizens Advice Leicestershire with so much fondness. They believed in me and gave me the opportunity to grow at a time when it really mattered. Whatever I go on to achieve, that chapter will always be part of my story."
