A bit about what we do
Friday is a SEND group for Young People aged 8yrs – 18yrs with additional needs. There are 3 experienced Youth Workers, Mo, Sue and Emma and we currently have 4 Volunteers. We are a very relaxed group with a lovely atmosphere
and our Young People just like to come and chill, chat and take time out from their busy days. There is a planned Programme of Activities each term which includes Sports, Baking and Creating. We run from inside New Parks Club for Young People, New Parks Boulevard. This building offers great facilities, a great Sports Hall, Lounge and outside facilities. We are currently in the process of building up are equipment etc for the Youth Club. We have the use of Young Leicestershire Mini Bus and love to take our Young People out on trips e.g. Bowling, Outdoor Pursuits Centre, Bradgate Park and so much more. One of our favourite things to do is have a Chippy Tea and play Bingo. If you like what you have read and think this would benefit your child, please do not hesitate to contact us. This group is not open access and is referral only, however, Parents can self refer. The Young People that attend have a moderate to low level disability. They must be able to be left in care of the staff, and able to manage their own personal care.
