Today we’re celebrating two very special members of the Sue Young Cancer Support family — Gillian and Courtney. 🎂🥳

Gillian, you are so much more than the friendly face at reception. You are often the very first person our clients meet, and you have such a wonderful way of making everyone feel welcome, valued and cared for from the moment they walk through the door.

You always go above and beyond for our clients. Whether you’re sitting with someone and helping them through their application, taking the time to listen, offering reassurance, or simply giving them that warm smile when they may be feeling overwhelmed — you bring kindness, patience and genuine care to everything you do.

You personalise the experience for every person who comes through our doors, and your attentiveness makes such a difference. You are a true asset to our team and a core part of what makes Sue Young Cancer Support the special place that it is.

We honestly don’t know what we would do without you! 💜

You have a wonderful ability to make people feel valued, listened to and supported, and you always want to make sure that everyone who walks through our doors — whether a client, volunteer or member of staff — is treated with the kindness and dignity they deserve.

Sometimes, the smallest moments can carry the biggest messages. A butterfly appearing at just the right moment, a ray of sunlight breaking through the clouds, a gentle breeze, or a quiet moment of peace — perhaps these are little reminders that we are never truly alone. 💛

This beautiful poem, My Angel White Butterfly, reminds us to pause and notice the signs of hope and love that surround us. When life feels difficult, these little moments can remind us to stay strong, keep going, and trust that there is guidance and love beside us, even when we cannot always see it.
