This Volunteers Week, we are shining a light on the incredible volunteers who make such a difference at Sue Young Cancer Support.

From counselling and complementary therapies to the many essential roles behind the scenes, our volunteers give their time, skills and compassion to support people affected by cancer every day. We are deeply grateful for everything they do.

✨ We recently had the pleasure of hosting an inspiring ‘Train the Trainer’ session with Breast Cancer Now at our centre, alongside local authorities, NHS staff, and fellow charities. 💖

This fantastic programme, facilitated by Breast Cancer Now, equips individuals with the knowledge and confidence to raise vital breast cancer awareness within their communities. Together, we explored the importance of early detection, education, and how best to support those affected by breast cancer.

It was a powerful and uplifting session that highlighted just how important awareness, collaboration, and community support truly are.

A huge thank you to Breast Cancer Now for empowering us to help make a difference. We are excited to share what we have learned and continue working alongside our new network of advocates and community partners. 🌸
