Hope Against Cancer is Leicestershire and Rutland's own cancer research charity.

We support cancer research and clinical trials that benefits local people and goes on to support global efforts to overcome cancer. Raising funds to be used exclusively to fund vital cancer research in Leicestershire & Rutland.

🍽️ Join Melton Belvoir Rotary Club for the 3rd Annual Hope Against Cancer Sunday Lunch! 💚

We’re delighted that Melton Belvoir Rotary Club is hosting another fantastic Sunday Lunch fundraiser in support of Hope Against Cancer!

📅 Sunday 1st November
📍 Sysonby Knoll Hotel, Melton Mowbray

Last year, the event welcomed 80 guests and raised an incredible £600 for Hope Against Cancer. This year, we’re hoping to make it even bigger and better! 🎉

There will also be a cash raffle prize draw, with all proceeds helping to support our vital work funding local cancer research.

A huge thank you to Melton Belvoir Rotary Club for their continued support and for helping us bring hope to local people affected by cancer. 💚

Come along, enjoy a lovely Sunday lunch and support a fantastic cause!

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the 2026 Hope Ball! Whether you bought raffle tickets, bid on auction prizes, sponsored the event or donated prizes, every single contribution has helped support Hope Against Cancer and raise vital funds for local cancer research and care.

Your support means so much to us, and we hope you all had an amazing evening, we certainly did!

From Bhangra dancers and singing waiters to a dancing 8ft bear, the night truly had it all! 🐻✨

A wonderful day at the Leicester 10K and Half Marathon on Sunday 11th October. The sun shone, 5,000 runners took part, and many more cheered them along the way.

Huge thanks to everyone who ran for Hope Against Cancer, spreading the word of how this Leicestershire & Rutland charity punches massively above its weight, delivering research and trials of international significance.

Special thanks to Anita Patel, Sunit Patel, Nalini Foreman, Cliff Hogarth, Angela Stewart and Charlotte McKinlay for their amazing fundraising support. You make what we do possible.

There were some brilliant goodies, a tombola, raffle and, of course, great food! Hope volunteers Tony and Chris attended and had a fantastic time.
