It’s volunteer week!

We are so lucky to have a group of amazing volunteers at Helping Hands Advice Centre.

Interested in volunteering? Join us and help make a difference in people’s lives.

Whether you can spare a few hours a week, a day a month or want to make a regular commitment we’d love to hear from you to see what would be a good fit for you and us.

We are looking for volunteers to join our team in a variety of roles including:

Another great session at Parkland Primary School today supporting children to develop life skills for financial wellbeing.
We explored:
- types of job
- what tax and national insurance is
- thinking about cost of bills and budgeting
- a weekly food shop
- being prepared for emergency costs
- things you can do for free
- savings and investments

Some great questions from the children : “what happens if you’re homeless? “What’s a loan?” “How do I make money on savings?” “What if my car breaks down?”

These are fun interactions sessions - available for children and young people 7-18 years. If your education or community setting would like us to do a session get in touch!
