We're Celebrating International Day Of Disabled Persons.
Movers is a theatre company for people with learning disabilities and welcomes people who have similar access requirements.
This means our actors require a little bit more time, a little bit more rehearsal, a different way of working - but we are still actors!
We would like to thank everyone who has EVER supported Movers, especially our committee of loyal volunteers, and our home venue Attenborough Arts Centre - who provide us a safe, accessible and consistent space to thrive.
A reminder that we are looking for 2-3 new members to join us in the new year, and we are always interested to hear from practitioners interested in working with us, either on an adhoc basis to provide cover-support for Charlotte - or a project-based programme, as we have done with Cosby Yarn Bomb, WORD Poetry, Lydia Towsey, Jayne Williams, De Montfort University Leicester (DMU) (SEN Nursing Department), and others..
