Due to Popular Demand we now have another Level 2 Course starting in June 2026. 📣

The CPCAB Level 2 course is often seen as the first step towards becoming a qualified counsellor, but its value goes far beyond that.

It’s a great introduction to understanding people, building empathy, and developing strong communication and listening skills.

These are essential not just in counselling, but in a wide range of roles, including healthcare, education, support work, and any people-facing profession.

Whether you’re exploring a future in counselling or simply want to improve how you connect with and support others, this course offers skills that are useful in both your professional and everyday life.

We are very proud of...

Louise came to us a couple of months ago as a volunteer, working in our drop-in.
Her dedication and lovely relationship with the women who use the service shone through immediately - so, we've employed her to run it.

"I know we're not going to change everyone's life, but we can show every woman who comes here what is possible." After a turbulent period in her life, Louise Cook is starting afresh in Leicester with her partner. Looking for volunteering opportunities in her new home-town, an internet search suggest...

"We meet women and girls every day who are living in fear of their abusers" - our director Della responds to a report in the Guardian.

We were profoundly disturbed by a recent report in the national media highlighting cases of women driven to su***de by their abusive partners and the lack of action - or, apparently in some instances, interest - taken by police and prosecutors.Domestic violence-linked su***des are now so frequent th...
