1st Sileby Guides recently enjoyed an Alpaca meet and greet at Anstey Alpacas where their host Matt was very knowledgeable and welcoming. They had a short talk, photo opportunity and got to feed the alpacas. They would definitely recommend a visit.

Markfield Brownies and Guides recently went to the Police Museum in Birmingham for a sleepover. They took part in a range of activities and were thankfully all allowed to leave for good behaviour. Other camps and outings are planned for this term, rounding off a busy year for Bardon division. They will all soon be celebrating each others achievements this term and saying good luck to members moving to the next section after the Summer. Thank you to all of their fabulous leaders and helpers.

1st Worthington units have enjoyed a busy term, highlights include a STEM session at Rolls Royce for the brownies and the City Scapes adventure in York for the Guides. All sections also attended the District Snow Dome and Midlands Drayton Manor events.
Packington Rainbows had a lovely time on their annual visit to the Paddington statue in Ashby.
Donisthorpe Guides and Rangers had lots of fun supporting the Moira Canal Trust by running the duck race at the Moira Canal Festival. They also created a piece of art for the David Attenborough themed Ashby Outdoor Gallery. They took a walk around the gallery to admire all the artwork and see how many 'Davids' they could spot.
5th Coalville Guides have been busy working on the Girlguiding Midlands Civil Engineering Challenge. They were challenged to make a bridge from newspaper and straws which they could drive a remote control car over, they also made emergency hurricane shelters from tarps and canes, and learnt the principles of road construction by making chocolate asphalt.
