HQ Recording provides a relaxed, creative studio environment located in the heart of Leicester City Centre. HQ Recording Studios boasts a High Quality (HQ) recording facility across two rooms, with the latest in cutting edge digital software and hardware.

Studio A is a top-class recording, mixing & mastering room, built around the flagship Slate Raven Dual digital workstation. With fully treated acoustics and a calibrated monitoring system, this room is ideal for projects that require true attention to detail.

Studio B is a slightly smaller, but incredibly conducive production, writing & recording room. Designed as a cosier alternative to Studio A, for intense writing sessions, Studio B still boasts a high quality vocal chain, comprising of the Slate ML1 microphone, Slate VRS1 Mic Pre and UAD Apollo Twin soundcard.

We have a third space too that lends itself well to creating demos and songwriting.

With a team of highly skilled producers & sound engineers to hand, you will always leave satisfied with a product of the highest quality.

The studio is conveniently located within 10 minutes walk of Leicester bus and train station, with a wide choice of restaurants and reputable hotels nearby.

HQ Recording provides recording, mixing and mastering as well as beat making and 1-2-1 production sessions.

Today we started the youth session off with some bingo, where the winners were rewarded extra tuck shop!

Some young people went on to do drawing and colouring, whilst others played board games together such as scrabble, frustration and uno!

Castle Hill at 40

Celebrating Four Decades of History, Nature and Community

For 40 years, Castle Hill County Park has been a place where people can connect with nature, discover local history and enjoy the outdoors. As the park celebrates this important milestone, the Castle Hill at 40 project aims to bring together the stories, heritage and people that have shaped the park over the last four decades.

The project offers a variety of activities designed to encourage people of all ages and backgrounds. From guided heritage walks and nature sessions to creative workshops and oral history projects, there will be opportunities for everyone to get involved and explore the park in new ways.

One of the key aims of the project is to capture and preserve community memories. Local residents, families, volunteers and visitors all have stories to tell about Castle Hill. These personal experiences help create a richer understanding of the park’s significance and ensure that the heritage is preserved for future generations.

Guided walks play an important role in helping people connect with nature and the surrounding landscape. They reveal the hidden stories behind familiar paths and landmarks, offering visitors a deeper appreciation of the area’s history and environment. For many visitors, these walks also provide opportunities for social connection, learning, and mental and physical wellbeing.

The project also seeks to introduce Castle Hill to people who have never visited before. Through accessible activities and engaging storytelling, Castle Hill at 40 encourages new audiences to discover one of Leicester’s hidden heritage treasures.

As we celebrate this anniversary year, we invite everyone to take part and share their memories and help tell the continuing history of Castle Hill Country park.

Together, we can honour the past, celebrate the present and inspire future generations and protect this special place.
