Soft Touch Arts Our inclusive way of working helps young people who lack opportunities or have challenges in their lives to participate in positive creative activities.

A Leicester based charity, established in 1986, we use arts, media and music activities to inspire and engage young people and help them to develop creative, social and employability skills. We help them get back on track if things have gone wrong, try new things, build the confidence and resilience to change negative or risky behaviours, and progress to lead more fulfilling lives. A snippet from one of the panel talks at Radical Hope Eco Fest, exposing how big brands use "sustainability" and new tech as a trend to keep us consuming.

Greenwashing is at an all-time high, and buying "green" products won't fix a system built on constant consumption.

Because one video wasn't enough 🩷

What made last Saturday so special was the incredible sense of community. Overcoming climate doomism doesn't always have to be loud – sometimes it just needs to be accessible.

Through hands-on creative workshops, powerful on-stage performances, and casual chats with local eco-warriors actually doing the work, we all left feeling a little lighter and a lot more hopeful.

Radical Hope 2026 was pure joy. We hope we didn't just spotlight Leicester’s thriving green community, but also sparked a reminder that action and joy go hand-in-hand.

OFFICIAL TRAILER for the New Parks Knife Crime Awareness Film, an upcoming youth-led video project written, directed, and filmed by young people from New Parks, Leicester.

Having been directly affected by knife crime, the young creators, Shannon and Cameron, produced this film to highlight the devastating impact of community violence.

The upcoming full-length project explores how knife crime in Leicester causes long-term trauma not just for the victims, but for families and the wider local community.

As a youth arts charity, we’re releasing this trailer ahead of the full film launch to support knife crime prevention and amplify local youth voices.

The full film is coming soon. Stay tuned for the release date 💙
