Soft Touch Arts Our inclusive way of working helps young people who lack opportunities or have challenges in their lives to participate in positive creative activities.

A Leicester based charity, established in 1986, we use arts, media and music activities to inspire and engage young people and help them to develop creative, social and employability skills. We help them get back on track if things have gone wrong, try new things, build the confidence and resilience to change negative or risky behaviours, and progress to lead more fulfilling lives. OFFICIAL TRAILER for the New Parks Knife Crime Awareness Film, an upcoming youth-led video project written, directed, and filmed by young people from New Parks, Leicester.

Having been directly affected by knife crime, the young creators, Shannon and Cameron, produced this film to highlight the devastating impact of community violence.

The upcoming full-length project explores how knife crime in Leicester causes long-term trauma not just for the victims, but for families and the wider local community.

As a youth arts charity, we’re releasing this trailer ahead of the full film launch to support knife crime prevention and amplify local youth voices.

What a day at Riverside Festival! 🏆♥️

We’re so proud of all the young people who took to the stage and absolutely smashed their performances. You all brought so much talent and energy!

A massive shoutout to our amazing staff band, as well as our arts and café teams who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to support everyone and make the day run smoothly. We couldn’t do it without you.

An honourable mention also goes to:

✨ Our ever-evolving pagoda — lots of you added even more to it this weekend and it’s looking incredible!
✨ Our genius young entrepreneurs whose cookie sale was a massive success with high sales!
