12 years......time goes by so quickly. The 12 years have been full of learning, sharing and meeting some amazing people hidden in the community. It has been inspiring working and collaborating with like-minded organisations over the years. We look forward to the future of Confident Communities and continuing to provide services for and with the community.

A great evening yesterday and amazing to see our participants art work from our sessions as part of a collaborative exhibition. Our exhibition theme is around Neurodiversity, mental health and creativity reflecting on lived experience. A massive thank you and shout-out to Documentary Media Centre John Coster and Tina Barton for providing us a space to exhibit. Some amazing work from all artists covering some really important topics. On until the 17th October so pop down to the basement of the Adult education Centre in Leicester.

It's been amazing delivering our Neurodiversity and wellbeing peer-support sessions for the last year. We are looking forward to many more sessions in the coming year. Thankyou to The National Lottery Community Fund for supporting us and to all the staff and participants. Sharing your experiences with the group has been insightful.

This summer we were invited to attend a CPD day for Midlands Access to work assessors in Birmingham and talk about Irlen Syndrome. As a registered Irlen Syndrome clinic this was a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of Irlen Syndrome, the co-occurrence rates with other Neurodivergent conditions such as ADHD and Autism and the non-medical intervention used to alleviate the symptoms of Irlen Syndrome. For more information on Irlen Syndrome you can visit www.Irlen.com.
