Did you know the University of Leicester has a COVID-19 screening programme? To find out more, please click the link below.
You can now get screened in two locations - on campus or in Oadby. The appointments are safe, quick, and easy and last for 10 minutes. If you've already been screened, you can come back again as a regular process, to protect yourself and others from

This screening programme is different to the NHS-run testing programme – the University is screening staff and students who do not have any COVID-19 symptoms and are feeling well.

Our website upgrades are complete!

"How do the laundry facilities work?"

Each hall site across The Village and The City has its own launderette with large washing machines and tumble dryers. A wash costs £2.60 and a tumble dry costs £1.20. All our machines are managed by Circuit Laundry. You'll get a laundry card when you arrive so you can top-up and use the machines. Circuit also have a new laundry app so you can pay for your laundry straight from your mobile phone!

Hear from some of our students about the support we have on offer in halls of residence.
We have 24/7 receptions on site and all our accommodation staff are trained in both physical and mental health first aid from managers and receptionists to porters and cleaners!
Our Residence Life service is award-winning, including a national award for our Making Every Contact Count support scheme, a Residential Adviser of the Year award and being shortlisted for Outstanding Support for Students in the UK Times Higher Education awards.

We popped onto the University campus for some filming this week. It's still looking as pretty as ever but we do miss all of our wonderful students that make the University of Leicester so great!

"What sports facilities are there to use in accommodation?"

There are two sports centres run by the University. The Roger Bettles Sports Centre is located in The Village whilst the Danielle Brown Sports Centre is located on Main Campus, a short walk from our accommodation at The City. There are a wide range of membership options for students to get fit and active whilst studying at the University.
