Thank you to everyone who has offered support & kindness this month. May is never the easiest. We usually start to feel a bit ‘lighter’ at this stage of the month. We are disappointed however, knowing that a Channel 5 ‘docu-drama’ will air tonight. We have not given, or been asked for, our consent and have had no involvement whatsoever in its making. We fail to see how it will help. Programmes like this, always have a negative impact on our family.⁣⁣

19 years. The search goes on....to find our Madeleine, to achieve some justice, to make the world that bit safer. ⁣

We remain very grateful for all our support - from friends and family, people we know and those we don't - and from the police and authorities for their continued determination and effort. Thank you.⁣

As 2025 draws to a close, we wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has supported us, in whatever way, over the past year & for continuing to hope for positive news of Madeleine. Thank you too for all the lovely Christmas cards and good wishes.

The investigation continues & we are very grateful to the police forces for this. Despite information shared in the media over recent months, the ongoing search and quest for knowledge & justice has not stopped & is far from over.

It has been a pleasure to join the charity Missing People recently in supporting ‘Safecall’ (http://www.missingpeople.org.uk/independent). Safecall provides confidential, free support and guidance for young people who have left or are thinking of leaving home or their place of care, and those at risk from criminal or sexual exploitation.

With our best wishes for a peaceful & positive new year & may 2026 bring us the breakthrough we long for.

Despite the jury's guilty verdict of harassment, we take no pleasure in the result. Like most people, we did not want to go through a court process and only wanted the harassment to stop. The decision to prosecute was taken by the Crown Prosecution Service, based on the evidence gathered by the police.⁣

We hope Ms. Wandelt will receive the appropriate care & support she needs and any vulnerability will not be exploited by others.⁣
⁣

As we arrive at the 18th anniversary of Madeleine’s abduction, we’d like to thank our faithful supporters once again for standing by us and never forgetting about Madeleine.

The years appear to be passing even more quickly and whilst we have no significant news to share, our determination to ‘leave no stone unturned’ is unwavering. We will do our utmost to achieve this.

May is also the month which includes ‘International Missing Children’s Day’ (25th). We continue to remember all missing children and their families, both here in the UK and abroad, thinking especially of all the children displaced from their homes & families in Ukraine & Gaza at this time.

We’re very grateful to the UK Charity, ‘Missing People’ for their ongoing, invaluable work, & to all organisations, charities and police forces who remain committed, despite many challenges and limited resources, to finding & bringing home the many missing and abducted children.

May is also Madeleine’s birthday - her 22nd this year. No matter how near or far she is, she continues to be right here with us, every day, but especially on her special day. We continue to ‘celebrate’ her as the very beautiful and unique person she is. We miss her.
