LOROS Education Providing education, training and support for those involved in the provision of palliative care is a priority.

The LOROS Education Department has a range of multi-disciplinary educational events throughout the year. Applications are encouraged from all health, social and voluntary workers working in or with an interest in palliative care. We were delighted to welcome Professor Mark Johnson today to talk about issues of cultural competence, ethnicity and end of life care: a research challenge.

Referencing Leicester as the most integrated city in Britain, Professor Johnson outlined the importance of engaging with patients’ culture and ethnicity, giving powerful examples of the implications for safety and quality. It was definitely thought provoking!

On Friday we’re holding our conference on patient quality and safety Getting It Right for Patients. We’re really looking forward to welcoming our stellar list of speakers for this sold-out event!
