Taverners Road Green - Two ladies walking a German shepherd off lead, allowed their dog to chase cat into main road, the cat got hit by a taxi driver who did stop to make sure it wasn’t hurt the cat did run off and tried to make sure it wasn’t injured but it wouldn’t come near me.

Hi everyone,
I wanted to check if anyone in the Thurcaston area is missing a dog. About an hour ago I was walking in Castle Hill Park and saw a black dog that looked similar to a Labrador. It seemed like it might be a female, but I’m not completely sure.
The 🐕 dog didn’t look underweight or injured, but as soon as it noticed us, it ran away, so we weren’t able to get close, take a photo, or find it again.
If this sounds like your dog or you know someone who might be missing one, it might be worth checking around the park area. 🏞️

☀️ Early waste and recycling collections during hot weather ☀️
During this warm spell, please place bins and bags out for collection by 6am. This allows our crews to work during the cooler part of the day and ensure everyone's bins are emptied.

Thank you for your support.

BENNION POOLS INCIDENT
A report received Thursday evening, of three young teenagers who are regular visitors of Bennnion Pools, who were allegedly seen taking eggs out of goose nests. The witness says they were smashing some of them

This would be distressing to the geese during incubation, and ensure the death of any developing goslings. The three were photographed, and the Police plus the Fisheries bailiff were informed. (Disguised images of the youngsters are in comments)
