For immediate release: The Mighty Creatives announces CEO transition 💜

After more than a decade of impactful service and leadership, our current CEO, Dr. Nick Owen, is stepping down to pursue other personal and professional projects.

Sooree Pillay will become the next CEO of The Mighty Creatives from 9 December 2026. Sooree is an arts professional with extensive leadership experience, most recently serving as Midlands and Strategic Lead for EDI at Orchestras Live.

We look forward to welcoming Sooree to the team and are excited to be led by a strong advocate for young people, belonging, advocacy and diversity. ✊

Friday, October 9th is Hello Yellow Day!

Hello Yellow Day is an international awareness day that focusses on raising awareness on young minds' and young people's mental health. 🌟✨

By wearing yellow this Friday, you can encourage conversations with the young people in your life on mental health and support young people in knowing they are not alone. There are resources available to them to help navigate the challenges arising in their lives.

We'll be wearing yellow in solidarity of Hello Yellow Day and young people on Friday, and we hope you'll join in, too! 💛

⭐As part of our core programme Creative Mentoring, The Mighty Creatives commission suitably qualified Creative Mentors for the provision of a Creative Mentor Support service to identified children and young people referred to the organisation.

We provide a programme of support to our Creative Mentors and we are looking for organisations or individuals who are qualified Educational Psychologists to provide 1:1 professional Reflective Supervision.
