What a lovely evening spent with my wonderful choir family last night. 🎶☕ So nice to catch up with everyone despite the summer break.

Christian reached the end of his 192 mile Coast to Coast trek yesterday in Robin Hood’s Bay after 12 days of hiking. Although he’s battling a lot of achy joints, the journey was one of the most amazing experiences with so many high points (quite literally). After leaving Cumbria, Christian entered the Yorkshire Dales on Sunday and is now over 120 miles in. This section of the walk has featured a lot of sheep and therefore a lot of sheep poo! The flatter terrain has provided some welcome respite for the blisters (almost as many blisters as sheep!). Final four days starts today as Christian enters the North York Moors… 70 miles to go! Christian has smashed 82.5 miles of the Coast to Coast so far, completing the whole Lake District stretch. He’s wild‑camped for four days and continued into the Yorkshire Dales today, reaching Kirkby Stephen. He said: “It’s been an amazing and equally challenging experience… hopefully fewer blisters ahead!” 😩
