Avanti Fields PTFA

Avanti Fields PTFA The PTFA works with the Avanti Fields School to raise funds to benefit the pupils & wider community. And it's no different at Avanti Fields School.

Selfless service is one of the main tenets of the Hindu faith. And what better way for parents to get involved in sewa activities than by helping to foster a sense of community spirit among the local Avanti communities. The PTFA (Parents Teachers and Friends Association) was set up to do just that. The group helps to bring together the communities that all make a difference to the school in one wa

y or another. Parents, pupils and the local business/social community. The PTFA supports the school in its aims to provide the best education (academic and spiritual) for its pupils. It organises fundraising activities throughout the year to help the school in its efforts, as well as various events for families and the community to enjoy. Social media is being used as a tool to communicate with pupils, parents and the local community - all pillars of the PTFA family that will provide a solid foundation of support to the school. In line with the ethos and values of the school, the PTFA works closely with school leaders, but at the same time, operates as its own independent charity with a dedicated group of committee members (Avanti parents) and trustees. The PTFA is always looking for innovative and creative ideas that would help us in achieving our aims (as well as raising vital funds for the school). We encourage parents to get in touch with us - and perhaps even help us out during events and activities. The school values of educational excellence, character formation and spiritual insight belongs to us all too. So let's work together to ensure the PTFA can serve our pupils, parents and community and strengthen those values.

On Dhantrayodashi, or Dhanteras, Lakshmi Mata came out of the ocean during the churning of the Milky Sea. Hence on this day we worship Her. The day of Dhanteras is also observed as Dhanvantri Jayanti, the birth anniversary of the God of Ayurveda. Many of our ancient medicine, now widely regarded and used across the world even today, is because of the wisdom of Dhanvantari.

Diwali festivities have started!! Vagh Baras, also known as Govatsa Dwadashi or Vasu Baras, marks the beginning of the Diwali festival. It involves the worship of the cow and her calf, known as Nandini, as a gesture of gratitude for their role in human life. Vagh Baras is also associated with clearing one's financial accounts and not starting new transactions until after Diwali. 🪔✨️
