ROC - Riders of Charity Motorbike Rides for Charity Riders of Charity (ROC) was founded in 2019 following the death of my mother from Alzheimer's disease.

I felt I needed to help raise money for the charity Alzheimer's Society and play my part in helping to fund research into better treatments and maybe one day a cure. In 2021 ROC embarked on our maiden voyage, a 3000 mile ride from Land's End to John O'Groats that took in the most twisty and challenging roads I could find. In 2021 our chosen charities were Alzheimer's Society and Mind UK, all money raised would be split equally between them. Despite being our first adventure and having not built up a huge following yet, we raised £8826. In 2022 we rode the Wild Atlantic Way, raising £7550!

2023 was a 'Down-Year', with rides in the Brecon Beacons, Peak District, York and Devon & Cornwall

ROC start a new campaign every year and raise money by organising a few small ride outs and one BIG adventure. It is open to all bikers and all we ask is that you donate to the cause if you join. Our 2024 campaign is raising money for;

Rides led by ROCer Michael ‘Mighty’ Shakespeare are always amazing. So if you happen to own a Yamaha then consider signing up to the VSOC as it’s a fantastic club, fantastic people and you get to have ride outs led by Michael! (Link in comments).

This ride was organised by Vikki ‘Lone Wolf’ Horton on behalf of ROC and in collaboration with the VSOC. All riders donated to the and some donations were received on the day.
