Inna lillahi ve inna ilayhi raji’un

It is with great sadness that we received the news of the passing of the esteemed Sheikh Halil Brzina, a devoted murshid and a beacon on the path of tasawwuf.

His wisdom, modesty and immense love for dhikr and hizmet left an indelible mark in the hearts of his murids and all those who knew him. He was a bridge between generations, a guardian of the spiritual heritage and a true successor to the message of the Messenger of Allah.

The funeral of Sheikh Halil Brzina will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque after the afternoon prayer.
The burial will be in the tekke in Stolac at 6:00 PM on the same day.

We ask the Almighty Allah to grant him the highest degrees in Paradise, to make his grave a garden of the gardens of Paradise, and to his family, murids and all members of the Tariqat sabur, strength and perseverance on the path that he left to them.

When the aggression against Bosnia began, the young men had no idea how to wage war. Sheikh Halil took them with him and taught them the Islamic principles of war, to fight in defense of Islam and not out of hatred.
