THE ASYLUM SYSTEM IS A FINANCIAL TRAP: WHY ARE TAXPAYERS FUNDING THE FAILURE?
The government has just announced a new plan under its latest asylum laws: refugees who are allowed to stay in the UK will now be ordered to pay back around £10,000 to cover the costs of their accommodation.
But let’s look at the common-sense reality that the politicians are completely ignoring. Where exactly are these refugees supposed to get £10,000 from? They arrived on our shores empty-handed, squeezed into tiny, dangerous boats. They cannot print money by magic.
The state says they will have to pay it back like a student loan once they are allowed to settle and work. But forcing people who started with absolutely nothing into a mountain of debt is pure political rhetoric. Experts are already warning that this scheme will do nothing to fix our national budget. Instead, it will just create a massive, expensive new government department to chase down debts that can never be paid, creating endless red tape at the taxpayer’s expense.
The simple, unvarnished truth is that our political establishment is completely hiding the real figures from the public.
Right now, there are between 800,000 and 1.2 million undocumented people in the UK. Trying to guard all 11,000 miles of our coastline 24/7 or round up millions of people is a multi-billion-pound fantasy. Official records show that just a single enforced deportation costs taxpayers an average of £48,800—and that is completely excluding the millions spent on multi-stage court hearings, lawyers, and charter flights.
Even worse, the system is so broken that many vulnerable children who enter social care end up in the youth justice system at just 10 years old, getting trapped in a cycle of trouble and reoffending. By the time they turn 24, over half of them have a criminal record.
It is a never-ending fiscal loop. As long as global conflicts continue, people in pure survival mode will risk everything to cross the sea, and the British taxpayer will be forced to fund the endless legal bills, hotel costs, and state bureaucracy.
The Equity Justice Peace Party looks at the hard facts, not emotional slogans. The only realistic, common-sense way to stop this loop and permanently reduce irregular immigration is to stop directly or indirectly promoting the foreign wars that create refugees in the first place.
Under our core rule—"One Law for All"—the state must prioritize our own people. We will legally take those squandered millions away from foreign interventions and the endless paperwork cycles it creates. Instead, we will invest that capital directly into our domestic economy, protecting our squeezed middle class and supporting everyday households with incomes under £35,000.
True statesmanship requires looking at the balance sheet with total discipline to protect our own communities first.
