About KCA-BI
I found it extremely hard to figure out why the Kerry society of Ireland had little information on the Kerry breed when it is the Republic of Ireland's Native breed. It is a rare breed yet I could not see or find anything to publicise the breed. I could not find any breed standard on any Irish websites or Irish publications. On compiling this new association I had to find most of

the information on the breed from America. Credit must go to “Jody Jess” of the American Kerry Cattle Association. the American queen of Kerry cattle
I found this extremely sad and frustrating that the breed is native to Ireland but it is a foreign breed society that publishes information on the breed. On starting the process of forming a new breed association I contacted many different people and organisations in UK, Ireland inc Republic of Ireland, America to get information. All were passionate for the breed but felt badly let down by lack of information on the nreed.. A small number of people show Kerry in the Republic of Ireland yet they receive no support. the committee gave me the go ahead to start a new society. With help from UK and Irish Agricultural organisations here we are a fully transparent society
The 1st Kerry breed society in the British Isles to promote full genomic testing
