Human Relief Mission (HRM) was founded in United Kingdom in 2012 as non-profitable organisation and registered with the Charity Commission in 2015. Human Relief Mission is an independent, non-governmental, non-profitable and charitable organisation with no affiliation with any regional, ethnic or political organization of Afghanistan or anywhere in the world. HRM’s mission is purely for charitable purposes, particularly supporting Education, Health-Care, Capacity Building Programs and Relief Services. The charity and support is given to the right people, at the right time, every time. HRM conducts projects alone and with partner organisation AMWO in the local communities in Afghanistan. HRM partners are chosen on strict criteria with both Red Cross and Red Crescent’s recommendation and their work is carefully monitored and evaluated on a regular basis.

Afghanistan has 2 to 2.5 million widows, making it one of the largest populations of widows in the world. About 78% of young Afghan women are not in education or employment making it difficult for families without a breadwinner to survive.

This is where the sewing course helps the widows become independent, earn a sustainable income, support their children's education and gain financial independence.

This project provides widows with:

🟣 Basic islamic studies

Water wells provide families with safe, reliable access to clean groundwater for drinking, cooking and hygiene. By reducing exposure to contaminated water, wells dramatically improve health, prevent disease and restore dignity to daily life.

This project moves communities beyond survival by creating the foundation for long term health, education and development.

This is how your donations helps the beneficiaries:
🟣 Families can easily wash hands, clothes, and dishes, drastically lowering infections.
🟣 Clean water from a water well drastically reduces infant and child deaths caused by severe diarrhoea.

Dignity isn't a luxury. For displaced families in Afghanistan, basic hygiene items such as soap, toothpaste, sanitary pads are often unaffordable. Without them, health, safety and self respect are all at risk, particularly for women and girls.

Hand pumps provide families with a reliable source of clean water by drawing it from safer underground levels. This allows communities to drink, cook, wash and meet daily needs without relying on unsafe surface water.

Millions of people in Afghanistan are forced to drink unsafe water, exposing families to deadly diseases like cholera and typhoid. Women and children often walk miles each day to fetch water, risking their safety and missing school.

🟣 Zahra Ahmad Mosque Construction Project in Kunar, Afghanistan 🟣

In the remote mountainous village of Kamkai Bacha, located in Marawara District, Kunar Province, there was no mosque where community members could perform their daily prayers in congregation. The villagers had no proper place to worship that could protect them from the intense summer heat or the harsh winter winds and snowfall.

Recognising this urgent need, the local community approached HRM and requested support for the construction of a mosque. With the generous assistance of our donors, HRM initiated the project and successfully completed the construction of the mosque.

The project was completed successfully, providing a safe, comfortable, and dignified place of worship for local residents.

Families are able to perform their five daily congregational prayers as well as Friday (Jumu'ah) prayers in their own village, close to their homes. The mosque has strengthened community unity and provided a lasting place for worship and spiritual growth.
