All the children at our Childminders’ Tots Group very much enjoyed decorating our caterpillar disc ready for the Walk of Art over the weekend! Did anyone spot it outside the cricket club in the park?

Some of the members of Horsforth Childminding Group recently updated their Paediatric First Aid skills with MR Safety Training. We all renew our First Aid Certificate every three years as part of our registration with Ofsted, but it's good practice to have a refresher course in between - and Matthew from MR Safety Training always makes it both fun and informative!

One of the big advantages of using childminders is that, because your child is one of a small group, we can give them lots of attention and we really get to know them well as they grow and develop. That doesn't mean that they miss out on socialising with other children of their own ages, though. Many childminders in our Group work closely together and most attend one of the local Tots Groups during the week. Horsforth Childminding Group even runs its own very successful childminder-only Tots Group, with plenty of toys, craft activities, singing and music, and lots of opportunities to play!

Horsforth Childminding Group runs its own childminder-only Tots Group once a week, providing crafts, indoor and outdoor play and music and dance. It's an excellent opportunity for the children to play and eat together whilst still benefitting from home-from-home care.

Members of the Horsforth Childminding Group completing their Paediatric First Aid Certificate with M.R.Safety Training. It's a requirement of our Ofsted registration that we hold an appropriate, valid paediatric first aid certificate, updated every three years.
