Hi All🥋

This weekend in Peterborough was held The 5th Traditional Karate Peterborough Cup.

The competition was a fantastic success, and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who took part and supported the event this weekend. Special appreciation goes to Sensei Pawel Kutermankiewicz and the Peterborough Traditional Karate Academy for hosting such a well-organised competition, which brought together approximately 100 competitors.

This year’s tournament was especially significant for the TKFGB, as we were delighted to welcome a TSKUK team for the first time. Their participation added a new dimension to the event and strengthened the spirit of cooperation within traditional karate. With athletes representing two federations, the judging panel demonstrated professionalism and consistency throughout the competition, ensuring fair outcomes across all categories.

A heartfelt thank you goes to every competitor, instructor, volunteer, and parent whose enthusiasm, commitment, and support contributed to the success of the day. Your efforts created a positive atmosphere and showcased the values of traditional karate both on and off the tatami.

The tradition continues… 🙇🏻‍♂️

Today, April 28, marks 13 years since Sensei Dan Stuparu passed away.

For the Romanian Traditional Karate Federation, he was more than a founder—he built a true family. A mentor who taught us not just technique, but respect, discipline, and character.

He believed in this path when it wasn’t easy and built what we carry forward today. Every training, every bow, every generation reflects his legacy.

We live by his values and return to them as our guide.

Today more than ever, we follow his message: be a little better each day.
