Today is Gift Aid Awareness Day, and we wanted to share just how important Gift Aid can be!

When you donate to Leeds Women's Aid Shop and sign up to our Gift Aid scheme, we are able to claim back 25% tax from HMRC when we sell your goods, if you are a UK taxpayer.

Gift Aid can also be selected when making regular monthly or one-off monetary donations, helping us raise more vital funds for vulnerable families in Leeds.

This is all at no extra cost to you!💜

Our Secondhand September Style challenge is ALMOST complete…

Our penultimate challenger Gill is a busy full-time working mum with a demanding job and little time to shop in person. She has a classic style and a love of British brands, but finds shopping for clothes tricky — especially finding trousers and jeans that fit well as a petite.

She feels like she’s stuck in a bit of a style rut and is keen to explore different styles.

So, we’ve taken on the challenge of finding Gill 4 secondhand looks — something for everyday, a look outside her comfort zone, something for work and a going out outfit.

Each challenger has shared their measurements, style preferences and a little about themselves, and we’ve styled them in 4 complete looks using only pre-loved fashion from our shop.

Meet Ruth W! 💚

Ruth is a busy full-time working mum of two boys. She sometimes shops on Vinted, but admits she’s fallen into a bit of a style rut and wants to be a little more adventurous with her wardrobe.

Using only secondhand finds, we created 4 completely different outfits for a total of £84!
