It is that time of year where the Friends of Rufford Park and school allow the children to make the rules for a day!

This year “Make the Rules Day” will take place this Friday 19 June 2026.

Attached is a poster which shows the rules which are there to be broken. Each child can pick which rules they wish to break (maximum of 6) for a charge of 50p for each rule selected.

The below link takes you to the Google Form to complete so that you can select your child’s rules and make your payment directly to the Friends of Rufford Park bank account (details are on the Google form). Alternatively, cash can be brought into school on the day.

Look at these wonderful stalls!

Last Wednesday we saw the 1st of 2 markets from the ‘Grow your £5 challenge’ FORP are very impressed with the year 6 entrepreneurs and their creative ideas!
We had comics, pet stones, bracelets, games, tiny skateboards, bakes and more! The variations were amazing.

The 2nd market day is until 4pm Wednesday 17th June after school in the hall. Please come with cash to support our leavers. All stalls are 50p- £5

This is an annual event so all our children have a chance to take part when they finally get to the last school year at Rufford so please do pop by and take a look

SATS ARE DONE!! 👍 ✅👏🏆

Massive congratulations to all the Year 6s for completing a busy and successful week of SATS exams, you legends!

It’s been a busy couple of days for us too, sorting the money for the ‘Grow your £5’ entrepreneur challenge commencing in June, sorting and labelling the brand new colourful hoodies!

FORP were lucky enough to be invited to the Awards Assembly to had out these rather spiffing leavers hoodies to the year 6s on Friday morning. It was very cool to see an award assembly in action,

SO MANY AWARDS AND MEDALS 🥇

Our PTA have supplied leavers hoodies for the last few years, usually at the end of the school year however this year we opted to do it a bit differently.

Having attended a local pta community meeting with the Chair heard how other PTAs give the leavers hoodies out earlier in the year, meaning the children can get more wear out of them before the hot summer begins. After a discussion with school it was decided that we could give them direct to the year 6s on the last day of the SATS week!

Kind of like a fabric high five 🖐️ it was a fabulous idea!
And it went down a treat ✨

We hope the children love their hoodies, it’s a busy summer term with a fun calendar of events and fundraising, so stay tuned for fun ☀️🕶️🧴🌻

Just a reminder the Scholastic book fair is in school this week! It will be open in the hall tonight and in the library area tomorrow and Friday. Every book sold helps us earn more books for school so your support is always very much appreciated! 😊
