πŸŽ‰ Our Voices Were Heard. Our Future Is Brighter! πŸ’šπŸ‡°πŸ‡ͺ

What an incredible day at our Kikwetu Youth Engagement Event! We are still smiling from the energy, laughter and meaningful conversations shared by our amazing young people, parents and guardians.

From fun icebreaker games to an energetic Afro & Soca dance workshop, the day was filled with connection, confidence and joy! πŸ’ƒπŸΎπŸ•ΊπŸΎπŸŽΆ

But the highlight was creating a safe space for our young people to share what really matters to them. Together, we explored the activities that encourage participation, the barriers they face, and their ideas for building a stronger, more engaging community. Every suggestion written down and every conversation shared will help shape future Kikwetu eventsβ€”designed with young people, for young people, because their voices matter. πŸ’¬β€οΈ

Of course, no Kikwetu event is complete without great food! πŸ•πŸ₯€ We enjoyed delicious pizzas, drinks and refreshments while building new friendships and strengthening our community.

A heartfelt thank you to every young person who attended and to the parents and guardians who supported them. Your presence made this event a huge success.
To our incredible Kikwetu Leadership Team, thank you for your dedication, planning and teamwork in bringing this vision to life. πŸ’š

Finally, our sincere gratitude to National Lottery Community Fund, through the IGNITE Project by , for believing in this work. Your support has enabled us to listen directly to the voices of young people in our community, and those voices will continue to guide and shape future opportunities.

This is just the beginning... watch this space! πŸš€
