From care, to independence, and beyond…

We’re really pleased to introduce Foundation Hubz, a new campaign by Hollybush Centre CIC.

At Youth Hubz & Care Hubz, we support children and young people in care and those preparing to leave care and take their next steps towards independence.

But we know that leaving care doesn’t mean a young person stops needing support.

That’s where Foundation Hubz comes in. 🌱

The campaign has been created to provide connection, practical support and trusted relationships for care-experienced young people, care leavers and other vulnerable young people and young adults across Leeds.

We see this as an opportunity to build a wider support network around young people — connecting the work of our organisations and creating opportunities for young people to continue to have a voice, a community and someone in their corner. 💛

We’re excited to see where this journey takes us and, most importantly, how young people can help shape it along the way.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Harley and to everybody who donated and supported this incredible marathon challenge ❤️

Thanks to your generosity, an amazing £1,456 has been raised for Foundation Hubz to help support young people who have grown up in and out of the care system as they transition into adulthood.

Harley showed unbelievable determination throughout the marathon. After suffering a trapped nerve just 6 kilometres in, passing out at the top of Otley Hill, and then collapsing again at the finish line, Harley still managed to complete the marathon in an incredible time of 3 hours 44 minutes.

We are beyond grateful for the support, resilience, and commitment shown for our cause. Every donation will help us continue providing stability, guidance, support, and opportunities to young people who need it most.

Thank you again to everyone involved — we truly appreciate every single one of you.

This Sunday, one of the Youth Hubz family will be taking on the Leeds Marathon in support of an incredible cause. 🏃‍♂️

Gary’s son is running the Leeds Marathon to raise money for Foundation Hubz — a charity dedicated to supporting young people who have experienced the care system and helping them transition into adulthood with stability, guidance, and ongoing support.

At Youth Hubz, we see the importance of this work every single day. Many young people leaving care face significant challenges, and charities like Foundation Hubz help provide the consistency, encouragement, and opportunities they deserve.

Every donation, big or small, will make a genuine difference. And if you’re unable to donate, a simple share of this post would help us reach more people and show support for an amazing effort and an important cause.
