Farsley Community What's On www.farsleyvillage.com A celebration of the great Farsley Community and everything it has to offer

Farsley Village web site (www.farsleyvillage.com) was launched in October 2011 after being proposed by the local Ward Councillors and supported by the local community. It is run by a group of local volunteers drawn from all areas of the Farsley life. We aim to be the best source of comprehensive and useful information about service providers and suppliers in the area but also a focus to celebrate

the great Farsley Community,

If you are a local business, club, supplier or service provider and want to be listed, why not get in touch? Basic listings are free, with nominal fees levied for banners and advertisements. The Farsley Village Community Facebook was added in February 2013

🗓️ Just a week to go until Midsummer Weird - our day of strange fiction, folklore and the uncanny.

👻 It will include the launch of ‘Haunted Yorkshire’ part of the ‘Tales of the Weird’ British Library series.

💬 We’ll be chatting to a panel of contributors headed by editor Elizabeth Dearnley.

📕 Jeremy Dyson (The League of Gentlemen), Andrew Michael Hurley (the celebrated author of British folk horror) and Mark Morris will be discussing the fantastic collection of chilling tales that explore Yorkshire’s uniquely haunting influence on horror literature.
