Barwick in Elmet Cricket Club Community cricket club in the Yorkshire Premier League North Situated in the Historic Village of Barwick-In-Elmet.

We are a community based not for profit volunteer ran sports & social club with the key objective of enabling people of all ages to play, spectate and enjoy the sport of cricket. We pride ourselves on being a hub of the community who provide facilities and opportunities to all. BCC through the work of our volunteers currently boasts a successful junior setup with teams from U’9’s upto U15's playin

g in the Leeds & Wetherby Cricket Junior League. We also two successful adult teams who play in the Yorkshire Premier North Cricket League.

Hi all. Our Sunday team play their first ever home game this weekend. It’s our senior development team - think of this as our adult 3rd XI, but with seven spaces reserved for U18s. All teams in the league adopt this approach.

It would be lovely to get a crowd down for a few hours to support the players. With a handful of older juniors unavailable this weekend, we actually have two of our strong U13s squad making senior debuts.

If the cricket doesn’t float your boat, look at it this way - it’s a double-up weekend of drinking cold beer in sunny June outside at our fab community club.

First ball at 1pm - all welcome.

Second post in quick succession, with both teams results from last weekend! Both teams playing cross gates 1s and 2s respectively.

The ones bowled first with Crossgates batting quickly and taking advantage of the small boundaries, scoring 264. The boys battled hard with .causon_ scoring his maiden century, and scoring a quick 50. Unfortunately, we didn’t get over the finish line and fell just 1 run short of the target. Something the team should be proud of!

The 2s had an excellent bowling display to rattle the top order and steady wickets in the middle meant the opposition were all out for 102. The openers scored quickly and made their runs comfortably, winning the match for the 2s!

⭐️The 1s MOTM was Max Causon with an unbelievable century! Well done young man!

⭐️The 2s MOTM was Mr consistent , being a true leader and scoring without losing his wicket!

Starting with the game on the 6th June, the 1s came up against TABS and chose to bat first. With skipper scoring a fantastic 87, getting 50 and 2 wickets to seal the victory. An excellent batting display by the boys backed up with a top bowling display!

The second team played Kelfield’s first team away. An unfortunate result after a great bowling display at the start, getting a solid 35 and skipper , getting a comfortable 46.

⭐️The 1s MOTM was after a great game proving he’s still the top all rounder of all time!

⭐️The 2s MOTM was Mark after his gutsy knock and top leadership on the field!
