✨ Sing the Thread, Move the Memory Performance ✨
at the International Circular Fashion Week Conference

We are honoured to highlight the designer behind the Hungarian traditional garments featured in this powerful performance.

🇭🇺 Piroska — costume designer & stylist
For more than 20 years, Piroska has been creating in the heart of Budapest, where her salon serves as both an artistic atelier and a welcoming, feminine community space. A small “jewel box” within the city, it brings together creativity, craftsmanship, and connection.

Her work is rooted in classical design, enriched with romantic and imaginative elements. She is known for her elegant lines and for working with the finest materials — including the traditional Hungarian kékfestő textile — transforming heritage into contemporary expression with great sensitivity and skill.

Alongside bespoke garments, she develops thematic collections and has presented her work at Budapest Fashion Week. She is also a member of the Hungarian Fashion Association.

🌿 In Sing the Thread, Move the Memory, her garments became more than costumes — they carried stories, memory, and identity across time.

This is the essence of circular fashion for us: preserving not only materials, but culture, craftsmanship, and human connection.

✨ Corset Revival Project – A Missing Piece of Art ✨

At the heart of the Corset Revival Project is a simple but powerful idea:
to transform discarded garments into meaningful, living stories.

One of the most unique creations from the project — a beautiful handcrafted hat made from a discarded corset — is currently missing.

This piece is not just an accessory.
It represents hours of careful work, imagination, and deep respect for materials that would otherwise have gone to waste.

The artist reimagined the corset — once a symbol of restriction — into something expressive, sculptural, and free.
Every stitch carries intention. Every detail reflects:
• sustainability and circular thinking
• respect for craftsmanship
• the emotional value of reuse
• and the belief that fashion can be transformed, not discarded

It is a one-of-a-kind piece. There is nothing else like it.

💔 At the moment, we are unable to locate this artwork.

We truly believe it may have been taken unintentionally, or someone may have information about it.

🙏 We kindly ask our community to help:
• Please check if you may have picked it up by mistake
• Share this post so we can reach more people
• Let us know if you have any information

This project was built on collaboration, trust, and shared values.
Let’s come together to protect and honour the work of our artists.

📩 Please message us directly if you have any information.

Thank you for your support, care, and for helping us keep these stories alive.

✨ International Circular Fashion Week 2026 – Support Our Community Project ✨

In March 2026, the International Circular Fashion Week Conference returns to Leeds.

Led by Circular Fashion Incubator CIC, this non-profit, community-driven event brings together circular fashion, heritage craft, repair and cultural storytelling.

At its heart is the Corset Revival Project — donated corsets transformed by designers into powerful new works exploring renewal, identity and circularity. The pieces will be exhibited, documented, published in a book, and auctioned to support St Gemma’s Hospice.

We’ve launched a £5,000 GoFundMe to secure the core programme and keep the event accessible to the community.
