What a night.
Last week The team celebrated the 1st Year annual event at the Court Hotel Bradford
We celebrated the achievement and success so far on the Programme.
We talked to:
- Our amazing delivery partners, and Highfields Community Centre, to hear about the amazing support and employability they are providing.
- The amazing Romana Nur from - Bangladeshi Youth Organisation gave us a great speech about her journey so far on the programme.
- Found out more about Inspiring Futures from the Programme lead Francesca wood.
- The employer panel gave us an insight into some of the employers that are part of the programme discussing how they are working to support our young people.

We are looking forward to Year 2 of this fantastic programme: Let's work together to make the future bright and really change the system for our young people and our employers.

Looking for a rewarding career? Leeds City Council is seeking dedicated individuals to support young people in residential care. As a Residential Practitioner, you'll engage with young people, helping them overcome challenges and guiding them to a brighter future.

Join a FREE two-week pre-employment programme to learn the skills needed to work in residential care. You’ll gain hands-on experience, an accredited Paediatric First Aid qualification, and the chance to interview for a Residential Practitioner role!

On Tuesday evening, our VIPs took part in an enlightening workshop, "Taking Charge of Your Life in Challenging Times," led by the inspiring John Sephula. 🌟 The evening was nothing short of transformative, offering powerful tools for goal setting 🎯, building confidence 💪, and navigating life's challenges with purpose.

Through deep reflection 🧠, our VIPs uncovered their core values ❤️ and took a real, honest look at where they are right now. This clarity gave them the confidence to redefine their paths 🚀 and take bold steps forward, no matter the obstacles ahead.

We dive deep into data to understand the education and employment outcomes for young people in Leeds & Bradford regions, helping us tailor solutions to the unique challenges and opportunities of each local market.

💡 Identifying Opportunities and Challenges
By assessing the scale of need and local conditions, we provide critical insights that enable Youth Futures Foundation (YFF) and local grantees to make informed decisions on where and how to focus their efforts.

🎤✨Kicking Off the Journey with Play-Doh! ✨🎤
The very first Voice and Influence panel, and what an incredible experience it was! 💡
One of the most exciting and unexpected moments was the creativity unleashed through Play-Doh.
🎨 As simple as it may seem, Play-Doh became a powerful tool for expression, offering a way to explore how creativity shapes our voices and influences those around us. It was a playful, hands-on reminder that creativity doesn’t need to be complicated – it just needs space to grow. The colorful shapes we molded were a reflection of the diverse voices and perspectives we each bring to the table.
🔑 The key takeaway from our first meeting? Creativity is a force that can break boundaries, spark fresh ideas, and connect people in ways we might not expect. Huge thanks to everyone who attended and contributed- Excited to continue exploring the intersection of creativity and influence with all of you!

The new 'Inspiring Futures' project bringing our partner organisations together from across Leeds and Bradford to hear from our Youth voice and influence panel.
This is invaluable insight from the young people themselves and supports all partners involved to inform their approach to this amazing project.
