Giving Back to Our Community: Supporting the Calverley Rotary Clothing Collection

​A local friend dropped by our home last week with a bag of pre-loved clothes, asking if they could help others in any way. It reminded us just how much good we can do together when we clear out what we no longer need. 🧥✨

​The Rotary Club of Calverley is turning your unwanted items into direct support for fantastic local causes, and we are collecting donations right up until Wednesday, 2 September.

​What You Can Donate (Any Age or Size):
👕 Clothing & Shoes (Children, Teens & Adults)
👜 Handbags
🛏️ Bedding

​Every single penny raised goes straight into the Rotary Charity Account to support vital community projects—from Calverley in Bloom and Christmas Day lunches to local food banks, youth football kits, and global relief through Rotary ShelterBox.

​If you have items to pass on before 2 September, feel free to drop them off at our home or call us. We'll gladly collect them directly from your doorstep. 🚗🤝

Last night David Repper from The Rotary Club of Headingley who are coordinating this years walk came to The Rotary Club of Calverley to show this film. Members of the club will be walking one again as they did last year.

Our Next Clothing Collection Wednesday September 2nd

Did you know that The Rotary Club of Calverley collect all items of clothing, shoes, handbags , bedding

Every single penny we raise from these collections goes into our Charity Account to help local charities

Our next Collection ……….Wednesday September 2nd 10.15 to 10.30 am if you have anything to donate thank you .

If you have any items you would like to donate we will be collecting items on Wednesday September 2nd collections between 10.15 to 10.30 at the Junction of Rushton Street and Capel Street in Calverley. Thank you

We then use the money to help provide things like Calverley in Bloom, providing Christmas Lunches on Christmas Day, Live at Home Activity Packs plus Local Foodbanks, Football shirts for youngsters , Disasters throughout the world with Rotary Shelterbox, local Uniform Organisations

We want to support as many charities as we can and with your help we will succeed

We are so grateful for the support you have given us with the last couple of collections they have been excellent

Just 4 weeks to go until the Leeds Rotary Sponsored Walk! 🧡

If you've been meaning to sign up, this is your nudge.

We'll be at Temple Newsam on Sunday 6 September, with 2.5km, 5km and 10km routes to choose from.

It's not a race. You don't need any special training. Just come along, enjoy a walk, and help support Alzheimer's Research UK.

Bring friends, bring family, bring the dog, or come on your own. Everyone is welcome.

We'd really love to see as many people there as possible.
