WEEK 3 OF FREE EXERCISE CLASSES FOR OLDER ADULTS AT BRAMLEY BATHS

We had another full house for week 2 of our free taster exercise classes for older adults on Friday. It was Zumba last week, with, I believe a bit of line dancing delivered by the brilliant Jennie from Bramley Baths.

I did a quick survey afterwards and everyone had thoroughly enjoyed it, and will be back!

The week (3) its yoga with the equally brilliant other Jenny (you have to be called Jenny to get a spot instructing coaching on this programme). We have a couple of free spaces left for anyone wanted to try out a bit of yoga. And if you like it there is a regular weekly yoga class at the baths you can move onto.

Whilst all classes are specifically designed for older adults (over 45) and beginners (any age) they are challenging and will defo get you fitter, stronger, more flexible..and make you a better dancer!

All are delivered by coaches with exercise in delivering classes for older adults.

More details are on the attached flyer,

To book on, or for more details, email [email protected]

These classes are free thanks to funding from Leeds City Council Leeds City Council Inner West Community Committee, the idea is we get decent attendance (so far so good) and we can then look to make these classes part a permanent feature of the exercise offer for older adults in Bramley, and west Leeds.

So come on down, use them, or lose them!

FREE exercise classes for older adults (and beginners) at Bramley Baths, summer 2026

We had a full house (or gym) for our first taster session last Friday in exercise classes for older adults, which was yoga.

All participants were surveyed afterwards for feedback, and all found it enjoyable, challenging and said they would be back!

The next free session is ZUMBA Gold, this Friday, 24th July, 5.30-6.30 at Bramley Baths

We have just a couple of spaces left, so if you would like to come along, and give it a try!

Walking football is the fastest growing sport in the UK, and other walking sports such as netball and cricket (which we will also be doing over the summer) can not be far behind.!

The aim is after the sessions to get an Armley/ West Leeds walking football team up and running, sorry Walking! We already have one in Bramley, meeting every Friday morning, 10-11. it would be great to get something similar in Armley.

Whilst most players are over 60 we also have younger players in their 30's, some who are coming back from injuries or other challenges.

It really is a beautiful version of the beautiful game, that includes everyone..just don't run!
