We're delighted that Sing and Sign Leeds continues to hold their wonderful classes here at The Old Girls' School Community Centre. They've been part of our community for a little while now, and we always hear fantastic things about their sessions!

The great news is that classes are running throughout the summer holidays, giving you and your little one the perfect opportunity to join in the fun.

These highly interactive, song-based classes are designed to help babies communicate before speech develops, giving parents and babies valuable tools to understand each other. And that magical moment when your baby signs back to you for the first time? It's absolutely priceless! ❤️

🍼 Stage 1: For babies aged 5–14 months
🍼 Stage 2: For toddlers aged 14–24 months

📅 New Term: 16th July – 17th September
⏰ Classes last approximately 45–50 minutes

Join us for a very special early evening of live music featuring the talented father-and-daughter duo, Paul and Nancy Tilley.

Paul Tilley is a musician, songwriter and music teacher originally from Grangetown near Middlesbrough and now based in Scarborough. Performing primarily as a solo artist on piano and guitar, Paul is known for his heartfelt song writing, engaging performances and passion for live music. In addition to his solo work, he is also an accomplished drummer who performs with several bands across the region.

Sharing the stage with Paul is his daughter, Nancy Tilley, one of the UK's most exciting young musical talents. Nancy captured the nation's attention when she reached the Semi-Finals of Britain's Got Talent 2026 at just 12 years old. Her outstanding drumming ability, confidence and stage presence earned her a standing ovation from the judges and audience alike.

Nancy has already performed internationally, including appearances in Fuerteventura where she joined local bands at renowned venues such as the Sunset Lounge in Corralejo. Despite her young age, she has impressed audiences with her exceptional technical skill, musicality and natural flair for performance.

Together, Paul and Nancy bring a unique blend of song writing, musicianship and world-class drumming talent, creating an entertaining and inspiring live show suitable for music lovers of all ages.

🤰 Expecting a baby? Why not join a Parent Prep course with Birth and Baby School? 👶

We're delighted to host these wonderful antenatal classes here at the Old Girls' School Community Centre, Sherburn in Elmet.

Led by the lovely Kayleigh, these sessions are designed to help expectant parents feel confident, informed and prepared for both birth and life with their new baby. With her friendly and supportive approach, you'll be in safe hands throughout your journey to parenthood.

The Parent Prep course runs over 7 weeks and covers everything from labour and birth preparation to practical newborn baby care, giving you the knowledge and confidence you need for the exciting months ahead.

🏡 The Old Girls' School provides a warm, welcoming and relaxed space where you can learn, ask questions and meet other expectant parents.
