Spanish classes starting soon.

🇪🇸 GOING TO SPAIN? WHY NOT SPEAK SOME SPANISH? ☀️✈️

Our Conversational Spanish classes restart on Monday 7th September 2026, continuing each Monday, and they're designed for adults who want practical, useful Spanish for real life.

For learners with around 2+ years' Spanish.

⏰ Each class: 1 hour
📚 Courses sold in blocks of 10 hours
🎯 Three blocks = a full 30-hour level

Another great session at Cuppa Connect yesterday! Thank you to PCSO Wood and PC Evans for coming - glad you found a few potential future recruits!👮
We also welcomed MP Keir Mather who took the opportunity to chat with volunteers and attendees as well as trying our craft activities.

Remember Cuppa Connect is hosted every Tuesday 1-3pm throughout the year and welcomes everyone. We have some pre-school toys each week for our little visitors and during the long school holidays we have extra activities for families to enjoy.

Every week we have trained volunteers to help with any digital support you might require

FREE Family Fun This Summer at Cuppa Connect on Tuesdays 1-3pm! ☀️
Join us for a relaxed, family-friendly afternoon packed with FREE activities for children of all ages alongside our regular Cuppa Connect

Activities include:
• Bubble play
• Bracelet making & crafts
• Chalk play
• Lego, toys & creative play
• Nature hunts & digital exploration
• Art activities, painting & modelling clay
• And lots more surprises each week! 21st July we’ll have Barkston Ash Beekeepers.

Thanks to Sherburn Together and Elmet Lions for joining us at Cuppa Connect yesterday. If you didn’t get chance to chat to them, don’t worry - they hope to return in the next few weeks 👍.

Also thanks to Tom and Warren from the North Yorkshire Council Stronger Communities Team. They supported our NYC funding application for the family friendly holiday sessions so were thrilled to see over 90 people visit today and enjoy the offering 🙌🏼.

As always a BIG thanks to our volunteers who are dedicated to supporting Cuppa Connect and making the sessions welcoming for all - we hope they enjoy some rest before doing it all again next week! We hope everyone enjoyed this week's event - decorating tiles was a big hit and it was great the weather held so we could get the picnic blankets on the lawn 😎

Next week we have North Yorkshire Police visiting - pop The Old Girls' School Community Centre between 1-3pm on Tuesday 11th August!
