We have just about recovered from all the excitement of BBC Contains Strong Language!

Our team had a blast running The Laurel Prize 2026 in Salford and a big thank you to the National Poetry Centre for organising such a brilliant festival.

Here are some snapshots from last weekend featuring our two ecopoetry workshops ran by Sammy Weaver Sammy Weaver and David Morely David Morley !

Such a great start to BBC 's Contains Strong Language Festival with National Poetry Centre !

We had the pleasure of attending the Young Poet Laureate celebration judged by poet laureate , West Yorkshire Mayor Tracy Brabin and poet and rapper Testament Homecut.

We also had the chance to catch BBC Radio 4 Front Row which featured Joelle Taylor and Donna Ashworth!

The Laurel Prize Ceremony 2026 takes place TONIGHT!

The event will include a panel reading led by with the shortlisted poets reading from their collections.
