JazzLeeds are proud to curate the jazz events on behalf of the Chapel Allerton Arts Festival each year. In 2026 these start on Wednesday 2 Sept and run through to Jazz Sunday on Sunday 6 September.

On Thursday 3 Sept 7.30pm Matt Anderson's Wild Flower Quintet celebrate the 60th anniversary of Wayne Shorter on Blue Note at Seven Arts Leeds

On Saturday 5 Sept 7.30pm (concert) and 3pm (brazilian music workshop) we present Balanço Malandro - come down and enjoy arrangements of classic Brazilian music - you can join in the Roda workshop before as well!

On Sunday afternoon 6 Sept 12.30-6pm we present Jazz Sunday. Every year, Jazz Leeds organises the Jazz Sunday at the Chapel Allerton Arts Festival held in Regent Street, Chapel Allerton LS7 4PE. This year the date is Sunday 6 Sept 2026 between 12.30pm and 6pm.

There is also second stage this year on Sunday 1-5pm in Well Lane a short walk from the main festival stage .

Hay you! We’re playing a gig on a community farm in Leeds in September! George is ploughing through some reading to make sure we’re fully equipped to be out standing in our field.

We’re so excited to be playing this gig as part of Chapel Allerton Arts Festival. Both George and Cohen studied in Leeds (and George still lives there) so this is a hometown gig of sorts!

Chapel Allerton Arts Festival presents... Fresh Sounds!

Young talent from across Leeds high schools will be playing & it's a chance to catch Broken Compasses (this year's Red Kite Battle of the Band winners) before they take to the main stage over the Festival weekend in September.

Over the years, Chapel Allerton Arts Festival has gained a great reputation for separating all the 2 tonnes (!!) of waste generated during the festival into what can be recycled (aluminium, plastics, cardboard, paper, glass, steel) from other “stuff” that goes to the Leeds incinerator to generate electricity.

This year we need 5 or 6 additional volunteers to join the team for a few hours each, between Friday afternoon 4th Sept to Sunday evening 6th Sept.

There’s no heavy lifting involved, and full training will be given. It’s pleasant, relaxed work and good company!!

We’re back!

The chapelallertonfestival choir starts again in August.

5 rehearsals, 5 songs, one performance.

We're very excited to release the music line up for the main stage of Chapel Allerton Arts Festival this year!! Friday night and Saturday are full with an eclectic mix of bands, solo performers, the CA choir and DJ sets, whilst Sunday morning gets the day going with Hymns on the Street and Sunday afternoon is a jazz programme presented by JazzLeeds

No Cookridge Street Jazz Festival tent this year at Leeds Jazz Festival so instead we are bringing the music to the Seven Arts Leeds courtyard on Sunday 24 May for an open air show featuring the hip young Leeds band “Fight the Giant”!
