Double Volunteer spotlight 🔊

Meet Tracy and Elizabeth both University Nursing students who have recently completed a 75 hour volunteer placement. Helping the centre to coordinate our food provision and face to face centre user reception support.

We are very proud to work in partnership with the local universities to help enrich lives of student volunteers within their community and help them develop skills for future employment opportunities.

Tracy and Elizabeth both want to continue to support the centre and access activities for their friends and families.

Team work makes the Dream work!!!
Two days of intense sorting, decorating, deep cleaning and simply giving the biggest thank you back to the centre for keeping us feeling gravitated with a sense of purpose to community cohesion and community building.

We would like to thank all the hardworking volunteers who got stuck in to help renovate the center!!

We are far from done but the concerted effort from everyone has just demonstrated the amount of care and collective belonging we all have to each other and for the wider community to benefit 🙏

Gloria our Centre Coordinator was truly in her element and did a fine job directing us all to improve and grow for the better…… including the yummy lunch as a thank you!

Postponed until September 2026. Due to an injury of our wonderful Community Connector we are having to delay the café until September 2026.
