Phoenix Squad Rising from the ashes, with a burning desire to succeed, we are Phoenix Squad! We also attend events such as weddings, store openings and comic cons.

Rising from the ashes of a similar organisation and with a burning desire to succeed, we are Phoenix Squad! Through tight knit friendships and a passion for Star Wars, as a non-profit costuming group, Phoenix Squad will help to raise valuable funds for charity while putting smiles on the faces of enthusiasts across the country. The charities we support are close to our hearts and we are able to su

pport them with key fundraising. Between 2024 and 2025 we supported Brainkind, a charity who rehabilitates people after brain injury. Our new charity, for 2025 to 2026, is the Bluebell Wood Childrenโ€™s Hospice charity who provide specialised medical care, and support, to children and young adults with life-limiting conditions. The Squad can be found at venues throughout Yorkshire from shopping malls and retail parks to leisure complexes. Posing for photos, interacting with the public and raising awareness for our causes. Only 3 days remain in our galactic countdown! The hyperdrive is charging, the twin suns are setting on Tatooine, and the Force grows stronger by the hour. Prepare your lightsabers and lock S-foils in attack positionโ€”a massive Star Wars event is about to hyperspace into view!

We are going to have a fantastic range of Star Wars characters on the day, with some amazing movie-accurate kits, attached is a picture of some of the dark-side! You may see Darth Vader keeping an eye out for Stars of the Day, or busting some moves, we may have some statue characters, but are they really statues? or our Shadow Scout could be misbehaving, sneaking up behind people, who knows!

Today's countdown post is going to be a little shorter due to reduced Internet signal, so with four days to go till our first ever Star Wars Family Fun Day at Eggborough Village Hall DN14 0LJ here are FOUR ways you can help raise money for Forget Me Not Children's Hospice

1. Attend our family fun day, bring any change you can and pop it in one of our buckets which you will see dotted round throughout the day, or we will also have contactless machines, should you wish to donate via contactless.

2. If you can't make it to our fun day, but we hope you can, then you can fundraise directly for them.

3. Fundraise at one of their events, such as their Dragon boat race or skydiving.

4. Visit one of their amazing shops and purchase something from them directly.

Don't forget, during our Family Fun Day our crew members and characters will be keeping their eyes and ears open, on the lookout for children who they believe are 'Stars of the Day' and will be awarding on-the-spot prizes throughout the day, plus they could also win 1st, 2nd or 3rd place near the end of the event.
So what might make your child a star? Fancy dress costumes, amazing lightsaber skills, accurate shooting of our trooper, good manners and random acts of kindness.
