The Skelton Grange project aims to promote an understanding of environmental issues to children and young people of all backgrounds and abilities, and demonstrate environmental good practice. It also provides specialist help, information and resources on all aspects of environmental education. Since opening in 1992, education and training has been provided through the centre for over 100,000 peopl

Today Green Team were down on the Trans Pennine Trail! We litter picked, tidied some overgrowing plants and cleared up the canal path so it is cleaner and more accessible.🌟

Spotted this tiny Mint Moth hiding amidst the marjoram! 🌿

These moths are day-flying and can often be spotted sunny days between April and September. As the name suggests, they love herbs such as mint, marjoram and thyme.

Want to give your time to help preserve our local canal?

This Friday join Green Team on the Transpennine Trail to give the canal path a spruce! We'll be tidying the plants, cutting back the paths, and doing a short litter pick to make the space close to Skelton tidier. ⭐

Today Green Team experimented with turmeric sun printing as the second installment of our Art in Nature workshops! 🌸🌳

First we took a walk around our site to collect our materials, we then laid out our designs on paper and left them in the sun to print. Thank you to everyone who came along. 🌞

Lovely day today prepping for our upcoming Art in Nature workshop on turmeric sun printing! 🌞

Join us on Friday 14 August 10am-1pm for a fun morning designing and creating sun prints made of foraged natural materials. 🌸🍀🪶
