✨🐸 What a night! Binimals are officially launched in Halton! ♻️🐾

HYC headed out to three Binimals locations to give them a proper welcome 🎉

We visited the Pride Bin at Widnes Town Centre, plus two Frog bins at Kingsway Family Hub and Victoria Park — where we also squeezed in a litter pick to kick things off right 💚

A huge thank you to the Mayoress for attending, and to James Coates, Wesley Rourke and Carl Sutcliffe for your continued support in making this youth-led campaign a reality.

Binimals are officially out in the community — keep your eyes peeled and don’t forget to 👀🐸♻️

✨ What is Halton Youth Cabinet? ✨

Halton Youth Cabinet (HYC) is a group of young people aged 11–18 who come together to have a real say on the issues that matter to them and their community 💬

We plan campaigns, run events and work with decision-makers to make Halton a better place for young people. Some of our key projects include:

♿ Access4All – campaigning for better accessibility, inclusion and understanding of disability and SEND across Halton.

🤝 Support4All – focusing on mental health, wellbeing and making sure young people know where and how to get the support they need.

♻️🐸 Binimals – our creative environmental campaign using fun, animal-themed bins to encourage good habits, reduce litter and protect our environment.

💡🌟 Light Up Halton – our annual lantern walk and light parade celebrating young people, community groups and everything that makes Halton shine.

🌟 This week’s HYC meeting was all about BINIMALS! 🐸♻️

We were joined by James from Halton View Litter Network and Jimmy from Halton Borough Council to chat all things litter, recycling, and keeping Halton clean 💬🗑️

Then we got busy planning our exciting Binimals Launch Event 🎨 and the return of our annual Light Up Halton Walk! ✨
