Every child deserves the very best start in life — but for too many families, the basics that keep a baby safe, warm and cared for can feel out of reach. That’s why Leeds Baby Bank exists.
We are a small but rapidly growing charity dedicated to making sure no child goes without simply because they are born into a family experiencing poverty. Across Leeds, we support parents and carers facing incredibly difficult circumstances by providing the essential items every child needs to thrive.
From new and lovingly pre-loved buggies, cots, toys and children’s clothing, to everyday essentials such as nappies and formula milk, we help ease some of the pressure on families during some of the hardest moments of their lives. Every donation we receive becomes practical support, comfort and dignity for local children and their parents.
Behind every referral is a family trying their best. A parent choosing between heating and nappies. A newborn arriving sooner than expected. A family rebuilding after crisis or hardship. We believe no one should have to face those moments alone.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, volunteers and supporters, we are able to reach families in some of the most deprived areas of Leeds with kindness, compassion and practical help when it’s needed most. And as demand continues to grow, so does our commitment to making sure every child has the safe, supported start they deserve.
Together, we can make a real difference — one cot, one buggy, one bundle of clothes, and one family at a time.
