It's officially pumpkin season! 🎃

Thanks to Saturday's volunteers (and our Growers, of course!) there'll be plenty of pumpkins landing in our veg boxes this month after a busy morning of harvesting.

Bound for soup, fresh bread, a laksa - or even just for carving - we'd love to know how you're preparing yours.

Heard of our Friendly Farms project? 🚜

Throughout September, has hosted a series of free activities in partnership with KVF and Swillington Organic Farm, funded through The National Lottery. All with the aim of encouraging people to get outdoors, engage with their local community spaces, and get to grips with agriculture.

So far, we've talked tree identification, got down and dirty with Bokashi composting, and trialled a tomato tasting workshop last Thursday (complete with 16 varieties of tomatoes, some badge-making, and the chance to have your say on which varieties stay 🍅🍅🍅)

Keen to get involved? Here’s what’s coming up in October:

🔎 **Bioblitz** — Sunday 18 October, 1pm–3pm

Big thanks to Monday's shed-moving and harvesting team 💪

Summer at the farm means there's always plenty to do!

This week, we moved the seed shed to make it easier for customers to access, and with the courgettes and summer squash growing at full throttle, we've been busy harvesting for our weekly veg boxes.

An enormous thank you to everyone who came on down to our Birthday Bash last Saturday! 🪩

After weeks of planning, an incredible community  of volunteers and helping hands, and a groovy line-up, we saw our 5th year in in style.

Together, we raised almost ✨£4,000✨ in support of our mission for community-led, accessible farming. 

Every ticket bought, raffle entry sold, donation made and drink poured will help us continue growing food, championing nature and cultivating community here at the KVF. 

Thank you to everyone who partied with us, volunteered their time, performed, ran stalls, donated prizes, and helped make the day so special 🥺🙏💚

Here’s to another year of bringing CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) to the wonderful people of Leeds!!

Our 5th Birthday Celebration has finally arrived! 🎉

Join us at KVF from 3pm until late for a jam-packed day of delicious food, live music, drinks, local stalls, games and our fundraising raffle!
