We're at Dadstastic Day 2026!

Celebrating all of the dads and father figures in Leeds this month, we’re pleased to be supporting Leeds Dads Dadstastic Day - a day of FREE Family Fun at Leeds City Museum and Millennium Square on Sunday 21 June.

Our adventure in Clapham, Yorkshire Dales! 🌺

As part of our Shahck Out Speak Out project, we joined up with the National Parks Community Champions project and took 12 Youth Provision members to visit Ingleborough in Clapham. We had a gorgeous day out in the sunshine, exploring the countryside and Ingleborough Cave, and conquering new heights - quite literally! ✨

A huge thank you to Jamila and Pippa at the National Parks Community Champions project their expert guidance and hosting on our trip!

Shahck Out Speak Out, supported by Leeds Community Foundation , focuses on addressing mental health inequalities in global majority ethnicities. Spending time in nature as a group allows us to build self-esteem and build strong relationships with peers 🌟

Spotlight on Success 🤩

RJCD Youth Provision members Oliver, Shahck Out Boyz & Maari, Youth Theatre has successfully auditioned for Leeds Playhouse new production Brassed Off, a major new staging directed by Olivier Award nominated and UK Theatre Awards winner Amy Leach. Oliver has been cast in the shared role of 'Shane' and Maari has been cast in the shared role of 'Melody'.

Combining live brass with a bold reimagining of the film’s themes for 2026, the production is a rousing tribute to solidarity, hope and the enduring power of community spirit.

Brassed Off will be on at the Leeds Playhouse from 18 Jun - 11 Jul. Come along and show your support! 💫

Our Shahck Out Speak Out activity day at Herd Farm Residential & Activity Centre was so much fun! 🤩

We tested our creativity building dens in the woods, pushed our limits through the assault course and tackled new heights on the giant swing. Facing these challenges together brought us closer and left us feeling completely unstoppable 💪🏾

Shahck Out Speak Out project, supported by Leeds Community Foundation , focusses on addressing mental health inequalities in global majority ethnicities. Spending time in nature and taking part in new challenges allows us to build self-esteem, experience mindfulness and build stronger mindsets 🌟
